Is it normal that some tours are sold out 400+ days out?

Yes. Princess opens shore-excursion booking 12 to 18 months ahead. Helicopter operators (TEMSCO, NorthStar, Coastal, ERA) sell finite daily slots to all cruise lines. JNU-845 has 127 Princess reviews, so it has been the long-running pick that loyalists grab first.

Will Princess release more inventory?

Sometimes. Princess may add departures as the sailing date approaches if the operator agrees, and may open a waitlist. Worth checking again 60 to 90 days out. You can also call Princess and ask to be added to a waitlist manually.

Why is SGY-845 marked Skip if Princess sells it?

TEMSCO's own page says guests cannot ride the sled on the Skagway product. Princess officially renamed it 'Glacier Dog Sledding Demonstration by Helicopter' in 2025. For a real ride, do Juneau JNU-840.

Why are six Victoria tours marked NOT OFFERED?

The Victoria call is 21:00 to 23:59. Daytime Butchart products and the Whales cruise are not sold for this evening window.

Why does SGY-415 say 'wheeled sled, not snow'?

AlaskaX reviews confirm that in summer the 'Dog Sled Ride' uses a wheeled rig on dirt. Dogs and ride are real, but it is materially different from JNU-840 on glacier snow.

How does the Adventure mode toggle work?

Each excursion has a 'Demand' tag (HIGH, MEDIUM, or LOW physical demand). Adventure mode hides LOW-demand rows so you only see real activity tours.

Where do the third-party ratings come from?

TripAdvisor URLs and ratings for the underlying operator and, where available, the specific tour product page. Cruise Critic mentions and forum signals were folded in qualitatively. Google operator ratings were checked where the operator is a single-location business.
